Coaches Update: IronWeek #2

Team,

One week down, 40-something to go! Great to see you all at this week’s various workouts. Thanks for the great turnout at Sunday’s coached swim - the drills will get easier the more you do them. If you’re having trouble with them - get some fins! Short swim drill fins such as Zoomers allow you to focus on the drill and not on trying to kick yourself across the pool.

For those who could not be at Sunday’s workout, check out the swim drill videos http://tntironteam.org/resources/swim-drills/ to get a sense of what those crazy abbreviations mean. Also, please do a 10-minute time-trial swim, and count your distance. Send the distance to Coach Dan. We will use this to seed you in your swim lanes, and to measure progress through the season.

We have a lot in store this week: It’s an IMMERSION WEEK - that means we have 3 coached workouts! So plenty of time for the coaches to get to know you (and vice-versa). Look for this weeks Captain’s Message for details.

For those still wanting to purchase the famous IronTeam flames gear, please check with Karen-she will need to place the order soon so don’t wait!.

Stay strong, go long, and be flexible!

Your coaches,
Ann, Chris, Steve and Dan
